Fall semester ended a week ago Wednesday, my last semester of regularly scheduled classes in my graduate program and the start of my final semester thesis project. The thesis consists of a collection of fiction, in my case short stories, about 80 pages worth of them, and a critical paper of about 25 pages. I've got eight stories to revise and no clue what to write for the critical paper. I'd like to make if something fun, but under the pressure of making something fun, it usually comes out the exact opposite. A friend suggested a title that I'm keen on: "Things That Make You Go Hmmm," but that's only because it makes me laugh. Another thought is to make a MadLib-esque booklet of college and graduate school application Personal Statements. Much too complicated and not interesting enough to explain here. Maybe the idea can speak for itself.
Why I Want To Go To Harvard
As an [GRADE]-level [COLLEGE SUBJECT OF STUDY] student, I am involved in studying the practitioners behind [COLLEGE SUBJECT OF STUDY RESTATED IN A MORE INTERESTING WAY] and this I [VERB]. However, I find that I am drawn towards the aspects of the course that involve working as a group to produce [PLURAL NOUN]. I find that this is very helpful in developing my skills in group-work, and I also feel a sense of [NOUN] at the end of these projects.
[COLLEGE SUBJECT AGAIN] contributes to furthering my understanding of the [NOUN HAVING TO DO WITH COLLEGE SUBJECT], through the study of [PLURAL NOUN]. This helps me to gain a greater [EMOTION] when creating [PLURAL NOUN], and judging reactions to certain situations. I am also taking [COLLEGE SUBJECT]. I find that the continual study of [PLURAL NOUN] enables me to gain a very [ADJECTIVE] basic insight into [PLURAL NOUN] when first looking through a [NOUN], or when simply forming an idea in my [NOUN].
